Mission Statement
In the summer of 2007, Humans for Humanity was started. Its vision as a newly establish 501(c)
3 organization is to help people all over the world; focusing on helping people and communities
who struggle with poverty, hunger, homelessness, clean water, sanitation, education, medical help
and other basic needs that we often take for granted. Our mission is simple: searching out areas
that need help and providing help where needed, wherever it might be.
As an organization both now and in the future we hope to establish ongoing partnerships and
work with local communities members in countries where these needs exist.
Projects & Plans
In accordance with Humans for Humanity's profound commitment to helping people, we are currently working on our first project: Escuela Camino Claro (ECC), a small community English school in the village of Pavones, Costa Rica. ECC's goal is to bring the community of Pavones together by offering a well-rounded and progressive English education for all ages. This school is in a small, yet diverse community and is working to provide equal opportunities to both native and non-native students. ECC offers English classes from pre-K through high school and includes education of older community members as well. Humans for Humanity is working closely with the founders of this organization to help raise funds to pay for school supplies, scholarships, and classroom rent. Future plans may include the construction of a new school in Pavones.
Future Project Ideas
May include:
- Ongoing work with ECC
- Building houses
- Building schools
- Providing food, clothes, medical supplies, and water filtration systems to communities without these valuable resources.
- Continuing to love people by meeting needs at both a community and international level.
